1:1 Technology Initiative Update -
As many of you know, Grass Lake Community Schools has embarked on a project to provide each of our Kindergarten through 12th grade students with a personal computing device (iPad or Chromebook) beginning some time in January, 2017, thanks to a large grant from the Thompson Foundation. A tri-fold brochure has been created to share more information about the project and to announce a flexible schedule of parent meetings that will support the process. Go to for this brochure.

We pride ourselves on competitiveness, academics, and sportsmanship. We are members of the Cascades Conference, which includes East Jackson, Napoleon, Addison, Manchester, Michigan Center, Hanover Horton, and Vandercook Lake.

Grass Lake Middle School Football Practice Information -

A message from GLMS Principal Satterthwaite to 7th and 8th grade students..............

To all incoming 7th and 8th graders who are interested in playing football this fall, we are happy to announce that voluntary conditioning is held on Mondays and Thursdays from 6:00 to 7:30 pm at the high school practice field behind the school. Our experienced coaching staff looks forward to teaching young Warriors the fundamentals of the game of football in a safe, organized, and controlled environment that puts team work, effort, and academics at the top of our list of expectations. We create an environment where student athletes will have fun, work hard (in the classroom and on the field), and learn to love the game. Practice schedule and coaching information, below:
* August 22nd - Practice 4:00 to 5:45 (students will have an hour to attend back to school night after practice)
* August 23rd - Practice 5:30 to 7:30
* August 24th - Practice right after school from 3:15 to 5:30 Equipment handout 5:00 to 6:00
* August 25th through seasons end - Study session 3:00 to 3:30 Practice 3:45 to 6:00

GL Warrior Club Seeks Support
The Grass Lake Warrior Club is looking for help and support from local individuals, organizations and businesses to work at and sponsor concessions at this season's home JV and Varsity football games. They offer a variety of options toward helping them. Go to ​ to see how you can support this group that does so much for our athletes and our athletic programs. Go Warriors!
Flag Football Schedule and Registration Announced
Kindergarten through 3rd graders are invited to participate in the Grass Lake Flag Football League this September and October on Sunday afternoons at the Grass Lake High School Practice Fields. Four Sundays, plus one game under the lights on the BIG FIELD during halftime of a high school JV game on October 13th!! Learn some football basics skills, play fun games with your friends. GLHS Scholar Athletes Named
Congratulations to our 2016 Cascades Conference Scholar Athletes Jessica Sherwood, Madeline Brunt, Hunter Satterthwaite, Brandon Schulze. They were recognized at the annual awards dinner at the Davis Banquet and Convention Center on Thursday, May 5. Well done!

The criteria for qualification to receive this award include:
o 3.4 GPA
o 2 Sports for at least 3 years
o 2 Varsity Sports for Senior Year
o No violations of the Athletic Code of Conduct

A Note from Outgoing Warrior Club President Tommy Cicalo......
This is my last week as President of the Warrior Club. From the bottom of my heart, I would like to thank every member who has helped me throughout these 11 years. Special thanks to Rich Holcomb, Michelle Granger Coppernoll, Trish Hart, and John Patera. You guys stuck with me through everything, thank you so much. I would also like to thank everyone who has helped with the cash bash , as well as with the concession stand. Grass Lake is a great community. I'm going to stay as a member, I'm just going to enjoy my daughter Lexie Cicalo senior year with no responsibilities, other than her. Once again thank you all so much.
2016 Athletic Hall of Fame Inductees Named
Congratulations to the following individuals and teams who have been selected to the Grass Lake Athletic Hall of Fame Class of 2016. These inductees will be introduced at halftime of the Varsity Football game on Friday, October 7, with the Hall of Fame dinner and induction taking place at Grass Lake High School on Saturday, October 8.

The Grass Lake Warrior Club Is Looking for Members -
The Grass Lake Warrior Club is an integral part of the athletic programming at Grass Lake Community Schools. The Club's financial support allows for the purchase of new equipment, as well as the maintenance of existing equipment. The Warrior Club is in need of members and officers to continue to do their work. All interested parties are welcome. If you are interested in checking out the Club, they meet on the first Monday of every month at 7:00 PM in the Grass Lake High School office conference room. Everyone is welcome to attend. Go Warriors!

Possible Boys High School Soccer Team

Donation Made for Athletic Improvements -
We are proud to announce that through a very sizable, anonymous donation to Grass Lake High’s Warrior Club (athletic boosters) we will be embarking on completing the following projects. We express our most sincere appreciation to the donor for supporting our student-athletes, as well as the yeoman’s work done by our Warrior Club, and assure them that the money is being put to good use toward items that have been on our “wish list” for a long time. Thank you!!

  5. Warrior Club Coaches Choice Scholarship
  6. Replacement of weight room floor in high school
  7. Middle gym upgrade (including 6 baskets and retractable curtain)
  8. A contribution to the refinishing of high school gym floor
  9. A contribution to help restore the playing surface on Stoker Field.
