Our Varsity Bowling teams and our Varsity Cheer team will both be competing at their scheduled activities this afternoon and evening, Tuesday, January 17.
Bowling at Maplewood Lanes in Saline vs. Manchester @ 3:15 PM.
Cheer at Napoleon HS @ 6:00 PM.
PLEASE NOTE: The ABC Training and Testing Driver Education Parent meeting is still scheduled for this evening, Tuesday, January 17, at 6:00 PM, in the Grass Lake High School library. Doors to the High School will be open at 5:30 PM.
Wednesday, January 18, 2017 - We will have our monthly two-hour delayed start. All classes will begin two hours later than regularly scheduled and all buses will be arriving at their regular stop two hours later than regularly scheduled. This does not affect Career Center students, nor does it affect Little Warriors programming.

We pride ourselves on competitiveness, academics, and sportsmanship. We are members of the Cascades Conference, which includes East Jackson, Napoleon, Addison, Manchester, Michigan Center, Hanover Horton, and Vandercook Lake.
Department Announcements
The start time of the wrestling invite at home on Thursday, December 22nd has been changed. The new start time will be 3:00 p.m.
2017 Cash-O-Rama Tickets Now on Sale
Grass Lake Warrior Club Cash-O-Rama tickets are now available. The Cash-O-Rama will be held Saturday, March 18th, 2017, at the Gene Davis & Son Banquet Center from 5 PM until Midnight. Music will be provided by Ghostrider DJ. Enjoy a Buffet Dinner, Dancing, and tons of cash prizes! All profits go to the GLHS Athletic Program!! Tickets are $80 a couple, of which only 200 tickets will be sold. These tickets don't last long!! Tickets are available from Warrior Club members.
Zach Forman Named Football Defensive Player of the Year
Congratulations to Grass Lake High School Senior Zach Forman for being named as MLive's Jackson area Defensive Player of the Year. Go to for the MLive story. Well done Zach!
Wall of Fame Commemorative Bricks Available
If you've ever wondered how to purchase an engraved brick to be added to the Joe Bechtel Athletic Complex Wall of Fame, wonder no more. Bricks are available for purchase through the Grass Lake Athletic Department by completing and submitting the order form that can be found at (2 pages) Proceeds from the sales of these bricks go toward the purchase of equipment for the Grass Lake High School fitness room, which is used by students and community members. Go Warriors!
Warriors to Play Manchester to Open MHSAA Playoff Season
Our Varsity Warrior Football team will open it's MHSAA playoff season by playing Manchester this coming weekend. The game schedule will be published as soon as we have it. Also, Michigan Center will be playing at Napoleon to open up their playoff seasons to determine who will play the winner of the GL/Manchester game. Go Warriors!

Varsity Football Players Take College Calculus Opportunity
As part of MLive's extra coverage for our Warriors Varsity Football team, they feature varsity players Zach Forman, Matthew Pokornicki, Nick Plensdorf, Jacob Tietsema, and Jonathan Lutchka who are enrolled in a Jackson College Calculus class held every Tuesday and Thursday morning at 7:00 AM at Grass Lake High School for the first semester. GLHS Scholar Athletes Named
Congratulations to our 2016 Cascades Conference Scholar Athletes Jessica Sherwood, Madeline Brunt, Hunter Satterthwaite, Brandon Schulze. They were recognized at the annual awards dinner at the Davis Banquet and Convention Center on Thursday, May 5. Well done!

The criteria for qualification to receive this award include:
o 3.4 GPA
o 2 Sports for at least 3 years
o 2 Varsity Sports for Senior Year
o No violations of the Athletic Code of Conduct

A Note from Outgoing Warrior Club President Tommy Cicalo......
This is my last week as President of the Warrior Club. From the bottom of my heart, I would like to thank every member who has helped me throughout these 11 years. Special thanks to Rich Holcomb, Michelle Granger Coppernoll, Trish Hart, and John Patera. You guys stuck with me through everything, thank you so much. I would also like to thank everyone who has helped with the cash bash , as well as with the concession stand. Grass Lake is a great community. I'm going to stay as a member, I'm just going to enjoy my daughter Lexie Cicalo senior year with no responsibilities, other than her. Once again thank you all so much.
2016 Athletic Hall of Fame Inductees Named
Congratulations to the following individuals and teams who have been selected to the Grass Lake Athletic Hall of Fame Class of 2016. These inductees will be introduced at halftime of the Varsity Football game on Friday, October 7, with the Hall of Fame dinner and induction taking place at Grass Lake High School on Saturday, October 8.

The Grass Lake Warrior Club Is Looking for Members -
The Grass Lake Warrior Club is an integral part of the athletic programming at Grass Lake Community Schools. The Club's financial support allows for the purchase of new equipment, as well as the maintenance of existing equipment. The Warrior Club is in need of members and officers to continue to do their work. All interested parties are welcome. If you are interested in checking out the Club, they meet on the first Monday of every month at 7:00 PM in the Grass Lake High School office conference room. Everyone is welcome to attend. Go Warriors!

Donation Made for Athletic Improvements -
We are proud to announce that through a very sizable, anonymous donation to Grass Lake High’s Warrior Club (athletic boosters) we will be embarking on completing the following projects. We express our most sincere appreciation to the donor for supporting our student-athletes, as well as the yeoman’s work done by our Warrior Club, and assure them that the money is being put to good use toward items that have been on our “wish list” for a long time. Thank you!!
